Complete Continuing Education (CE) Hours

Renewal credits are intended to encourage radon professionals involvement in the radon industry development and growth, and to encourage professionals to keep in touch with changes in the industry

  • Measurement and Mitigation Professionals need 20 CE hours every 2 years.

  • 4 Credit Hours must come from C-NRPP Approved Continuing Education Courses

  • 16 Credits from at least two of the 4 categories of approved professional practice credits.

C-NRPP Approved Courses

4 CE Hours are required from C-NRPP Approved CE Courses. Courses are offered on the Saturday/Sunday of the annual CARST conference. A full list can be found at www.c-nrpp.ca

Professional Practice Credits

The remaining 16 credits must come from 2 of the following categories.

  • Community Outreach and Radon Awareness

    These are activities where you are active in providing radon information to the community such as at trade shows or giving a presentation. 1 hr of participation = 1 credit.

  • Radon Industry Participation

    These are activities which enhance and encourage the development of the radon industry within Canada. 1 hr of participation = 1 credit.

  • Professional Development

    These are non-radon specific continuing education courses you've taken or educational activities. 1 hr of course = 1 credit.

  • Hands on Practice

    Practical radon work which provide home and building owners with the necessary services they require. 1 measurement job = 1 credit. 1 mitigation job = 2 credits. (Limit of 10 hands-on credits per renewal).

Renewal Timeline

  • 6 Months before Expiry 
    • Start accumulating CE hours if not already done.  
    • Gather all necessary documentation and records. 
  • 3 Months Before Expiry
  • 1 Month Before Expiry
    • Submit the renewal application and documentation
    • Pay the renewal fee. 
  • Upon Renewal
    • Confirm renewal status with the C-NRPP. 
    • Update any professional profile listings with your renewal certification.
